The upcoming LDI show in Las Vegas is one of the last major International trade shows of the year, and we still have a few aces up our sleeves! At the end of this week, from Friday, 17th until Sunday, 19th November, you will have the opportunity to lay your eyes and hands on two new products as well as the entire range of proven products at booth #2133. As usual, you'll find a preview of the brand new devices in this newsletter!

XND-8 8-Port Ethernet DMX Node

With the XND-8, Swisson extends the XND product line with a rack mountable, 8-port Ethernet to DMX converter. Like the XND-4 nodes, the 8-port nodes support sACN (draft and release version) and Art-Net. RDM is supported for Art-Net outputs. Each port can be individually configured to output an arbitrary sACN or Art-Net universe.

The XND-8 Ethernet to DMX converters are, like the XND-4 nodes, easy to configure via the graphic OLED display and offer the possibility to protect your device with a password, in order to prevent unauthorized tampering with the device's settings. This and some more improvements will also come with the next firmware release for the XND-4 as well as for the XPD-28. So, if you're an owner of any of those Swisson data distribution devices, we recommend that you watch out for a firmware release within the next few weeks.

XSD-S3-US Sine Wave Dimmer

Right on time for the industry's leading trade show in the US, we're introducing the fully RDM capable single channel sine wave dimmer to the North American market. The new model offers all the advantages of sine wave dimming known from previous Swisson dimmers, such as the elimination of filament sing, interference and electrical disturbances, optimised for the operation with a 120 V grid. Delivering 2.4 kW with a weight below 7 lbs, this compact dimmer is ideal for any application where dimmable luminaries are employed, while being very competitively priced!
